As a UK-based business, we comply with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
2. What Information We Collect
Information you provide directly
- Account registration: Username, email address, and password when you create an account.
- Card images: Front and back photographs of sports cards you upload for AI grading. These are processed to generate grade estimates and are not permanently stored on our servers after processing is complete.
- Card details: Card name, sport, and era information you enter alongside your images.
- Contact form submissions: Your name, email address, and message when you contact us.
Information collected automatically
- Usage data: Pages visited, features used, time spent on the site, and browser/device type.
- IP address: Collected for security and fraud prevention purposes.

Payment information
We use Stripe to process payments. We do not store your card number, CVV, or full payment details on our servers. Stripe processes and stores this data under their own privacy policy, available at stripe.com/gb/privacy. We receive only a transaction confirmation and the number of credits purchased.
Grade history
If you are a registered user, we store a record of each grade estimate you request, including the card details you entered, the estimated PSA and BGS grades, and the date of the estimate. Card images are not retained after processing.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your personal data to:
- Create and manage your account
- Provide the AI card grading service
- Process payments and manage your credit balance
- Store and display your grade history
- Respond to your enquiries and support requests
- Send transactional emails (account confirmation, payment receipts)
- Improve our services and fix technical issues

4. Legal Basis for Processing (UK GDPR)
We rely on the following legal bases:
- Contract performance: Processing necessary to provide the grading service you have signed up for and to fulfil credit purchases.
- Legitimate interests: Site security, fraud prevention, improving our service, and maintaining grade history records.
- Legal obligation: Retaining financial records as required by UK law.
- Consent: Where we send any optional marketing communications (you may withdraw this at any time).
5. How Long We Keep Your Data
- Account data: Retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain it.
- Grade history: Retained while your account is active and deleted with your account.
- Card images: Deleted immediately after the AI grading process completes. We do not store your card photographs.
- Payment records: Retained for 7 years in accordance with UK financial record-keeping requirements.
- Contact enquiries: Retained for up to 2 years.
6. Who We Share Your Data With
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the following trusted third parties where necessary to operate our service:
- Anthropic: Card images and card details are sent to Anthropic’s Claude API to generate grade estimates. Anthropic processes this data under their privacy policy at anthropic.com/privacy.
- Stripe: Payment processing. Stripe is PCI DSS compliant and certified to process card payments.
- Our hosting provider: Our website and database are hosted on servers in accordance with UK/EU data protection standards.
We may also disclose your information if required to do so by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our business or others.
7. Cookies
We use the following types of cookies:
- Essential cookies: Required for the site to function, including your login session and security tokens. These cannot be disabled.
- Analytics cookies: We may use analytics tools to understand how visitors use our site. You can opt out of these via our cookie banner.
You can manage cookie preferences in your browser settings at any time.
8. Your Rights Under UK GDPR
You have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
